We’re organizing a new Children’s Choir for 2nd - 4th Graders!

We are excited to offer a new opportunity for our kids to help lead worship and use their musical gifts! This Fall Third is offering our 2nd-4th graders the opportunity to sing in a Children's Choir (do you have a first grader who would love to sing? Keep your eyes out in the spring as this opportunity will be extended to them as well!)

The Children's Choir will have six rehearsals on Wednesday nights from 6:45-7:30 (listed below) and will sing in worship on Sunday, November 24 at the 9:30 and 11 services. Commitment to participate in all six rehearsals and both services on the 24th are mandatory!

Rehearsal Schedule:

• Wed., October 16 (at Regency in Room A/B)

• Wed., October 23 (at Regency in Room A/B)

• Wed., October 30 (at 600 Forest Room 107)

• Wed., November 6 (at 600 Forest Room 107)

• Wed., November 13 (at 600 Forest Room 107)

• Wed., November 20 (at 600 Forest Room 107)

Our covenant partner, Kimly Schlabach is going to direct the children this Fall. Kimly comes to Third with decades of experience as a retired Choral/Handbell Director at Thomas Harrison Middle School in Harrisonburg, VA. Additionally, she served on the music ministry staff at First Presbyterian Church in Harrisonburg. Since retirement, she and her husband have lived in RVA for 4 years and are Covenant Partners here at Third Church. Kids at Third may remember Mrs. Kim through her music work during Vacation Bible School.

We need at least 12 participants to make this happen! Please sign up by October 1.
