Is your child ready to take communion? Come to this class with one of our Pastors to discuss the meaning of communion and how to know when your child is ready!
We're forming a children's choir for 2nd-4th Graders to sing in worship on November 24!
Talking to our kids about sex, birth, body safety, pornography, and other related topics can feel very overwhelming and awkward at times, but we all know how important it is. They'll learn about these things at some point (sooner than we think), and as their parents, we want to be the first place they hear about it.
During the workshop, we'll watch and discuss short videos from the Birds & the Bees curriculum which gives very practical steps on how to begin and continue this conversation with our kids throughout their childhood. We'll also have the opportunity to learn from each other if anyone would like to share experiences (or funny anecdotes) they've had while talking with their kids about sex. The curriculum is geared toward young children through preteens, but the information can easily be scaled to use for teens as well.
Childcare available with registration

In the busyness of life, it’s easy for couples to feel like ships passing in the night, lucky to squeak out a coherent conversation at the end of the day. As it turns out, however, connection is an incredibly important aspect of marriage that secures satisfaction and stability over the long haul.
Join counselor Miriam Bott for a marriage workshop where we look at small, tangible ways to cultivate connection weekly that will make a big impact on your relationship.
Cost: $200.* Once you register on Miriam’s website, you will receive a link to pay. Full refunds available up to two weeks prior to the workshop. 50% refund within two weeks.
*We never want cost to keep anyone from registering. Please reach out to Rick Hutton for scholarship information.
Child care available for 10 years old and younger with RSVP to Susan by April 15.
The Club 56 Retreat is a great chance for your 5th or 6th grader to grow in relationships with their friends and with God, connect more deeply with one another and leaders who care about them, and even invite friends who might not have an opportunity like this. And, it's FUN!
Join us for an easy night of fun and food. We will provide pizza* and popcorn (and some healthy stuff too) while we watch the 2008 movie Wall-E. Kids are welcome to wear their PJs and bring blankets or chairs to sit on. This is a wonderful event to invite friends and neighbors, just be sure they register so we have enough food!
*You are welcome to provide your own dinner, especially if you have an ALLERGY. The popcorn will be Boom Chicka Pop and we'll have Made Good desserts for those with allergies.
REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS Monday, February 19.

Join us as we kick off the Advent season! We will meet in the first floor Gathering Area during the Sunday school hour for a time of worship, a message, and time for a craft!
The Live Red Foundation is hosting a Kids Mile Race around Regency on Sunday morning, October 29. We’re anticipating hundreds of people descending on Regency and want to be a welcoming presence to those who are racing and cheering on their friends and family. Here’s how you can particpate:
Race: Join the one-mile run! Race heats are broken up by age brackets for kids 1-year-old through teenagers. There’s even a race for parents, if mom or dad want to get in on the action!
Coffee & Cheering: Come out to enjoy coffee and snacks while cheering on the racers. We have told the Live Red Foundation that we will be hosting a cheering section on the upper floor parking deck by our space. Races begin at 7:30 a.m., so cheering should begin then and last through the morning!
Because the race will circle Regency and because a large portion of our church will be at the Fall Retreat, there are a number of changes to worship that Sunday morning.
Parking: Holly Hill and Starling will still be open, but please park downstairs, on the bottom level of the parking deck. The upper parking deck (that leads to the second floor and our main worship space) will be closed for the race route.
Worship Times: We will only be having one service on Sunday, October 29 at 11:00 a.m. There will be no 8:45 a.m. service or Sunday school. Childcare will still be available for kids kindergarten and younger during the 11:00 a.m. service.
No Sunday School! We will not be holding Sunday school for kids, students or adults this Sunday.

You heard that right….we’re planning an All Church Retreat this fall at the beautiful Shrine Mont Retreat Center in Shenandoah County, VA!
In order to reserve our spot, and to potentially open up more housing opportunities for us, we need individuals and families to pre-register so we know how many folks we’re expecting. More details will be released in the coming months, but here is what we know so far:
DATE: Oct. 28-30 (Friday evening through Sunday midday)
LOCATION: Shrine Mont, 2.5-3 hours from Richmond

Total costs are TBD but we anticipate them to be between $200-275/per adult based on housing options (ages 13+ are considered adults), and approximately $100 per child (ages 4-12). Children 3 years old and younger are free.
Pre-registration cost is non-refundable.
FOOD/DRINK: All food and drink will be included with fees.
TRANSPORTATION: Will be on your own (no rental vans or buses)
LODGING: The retreat center has several different housing options including a hotel, small cottages and bunk cabins. There will be options for singles to stay with friends and families to stay together.

Childcare and student programs will also be provided. Our program committee is still forming and trying to decide what exactly this will look like!
